What Customers Say About Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek:

And one of the characters in the game i just could not find, the Guadalupe lady, it took me ages to find her and when i did i was really annoyed by that time. Other than that I enjoyed interacting with the white wolf and getting to solve the mystery. every singe day that she gets up she has to do cook and clean the rooms. Nancy Drew works as a maid and a cook so she MUST be present in the kitchen for lunch and breakfast and dinner at the certain time of the day. It starts out good with things to do that are fun and you can explore the lodge. The length of this game was much better compared to some of the previous mysteries. The bad thing, in my opinion is the game has time in it, if you talk to someone or if you walk around the time of the day goes by in the game. it gets frustrating to do that.

It can get tedious, but near the end of the game you stop having to do all of this. It seems that the wolf shows up right before something bad happens. HER was really going the right way when they made this game. The voice acting was very good, too.Gameplay-Your cover is the maid and cook, so you have to clean rooms (which means collect dirty towels and fix beds) and cook (think of putting something on the grill, waiting 30 seconds then taking it off before it burns) every day. You need to find out who is causing these accidents, while finding out what the deal is with the wolf.Graphics-They were very good, but HERinteractive added something horrid. The puzzles are challenging again, but not too difficult. You have an alarm clock which is good because you cannot go outside at night, and you need to go outside a lot.Fun-This is a really fun game, but I found having to cook and clean every day got really old.

You don't have a cell phone in the game so you call using a dialing phone which also brings back the nostalgia of previous games (although sometimes I wanted my cell phone back). Otherwise, everything else was fun.Length-It took me about 5 days to finish the game the first time through, and playing it straight through takes 10-11 hours. I guess it was meant to help those who have trouble seeing the crumpled up note in the corner or the newspaper on the table, but it really was very annoying.Sound-The music was creepy with a winter twist on it. This was great game with a plot much like the classics.Story-A white wolf has started showing up at a lodge in Canada, and the owner has called you over to Canada to help solve the mystery. Multiple things have happened such as slashed tires, food poisoning, and more. It was really pretty good.

Some people complained about the fox and the geese game. It's a shame that HER couldn't have made a game that takes longer the first time through like the old games, but it was longer than the past games.Overall this is back to the basics, and the basics are what everyone loves, I think. For awhile it seemed like HER was failing at making the games like they used to.until they made this one. They threw in some bright green lines that show you what you can look at. I think that it's really fun, and the fact that's it's hard just adds to the fun.

I like the Nancy drew games a lot and i want to collect them all.The White wolf of icicle creek lodge is fun.I am almost done with the game but I got stuck. That fox and geese game is hard even for junior.I can`t do it.You are suppose to play four times to win.I don`t know why you have to play four times. If you like mysterious or hard challenging games then this is a game for you.You might get stuck but it is pretty easy for junior. The wii version sounds fun and looks fun but i will stick with the pc version for now.I like the other Nancy drew games but this one is challenging for me.BlahBlahBlub:)

We didn't mind the cooking and the cleaning. This is the only ND we haven't completed. It was the aimless mystery and the interminable Fox and Geese game that just killed this for me.

Yes, the cooking and cleaning got tedious because it had to be done everyday, but we got so good at it that it took no time at all. We did have to use hints from the website and the guide book, but overall it was not really hard to do.

Hope this helps. PS - some reviewers don't like the game because of the Fox and the Geese game.

I also like that it wasn't as scary and eerie as others, but it was still suspenceful, and somewhat scary. Remember that it is like checkers - the fox can only get the geese if there is one geese alone for the fox to "jump" over and get.

We just finished this game (me and my kids) and we loved it. I liked it much better than Mystery in the Tower (I think I'm getting the title wrong) because it seemed like a lot of the time was spent in that game just walking all over the place - boring.

There is no cheat on this - you just have to play the game and win, but I did read a hint on the website that helped me - it said to put all your geese to the opposite side of where you want to trap the fox and move slowly in to trap him.
